Two Types of Goals

There are two types of goals, basically.  Got 30 seconds?  Listen as I explain them here:

What made and continues to make, Nike brilliant is their slogan, “Just Do It”!

Someday, we will live with peace or we will live with regret.  That’s enough to get me off my butt.  What’s it gonna take for you?   If not today, when?  Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Stay Motivated, Stay Healthy

Stay Motivated, Stay Healthy.

If it were easy, everybody would be doing it.  But it isn’t easy.

This is the part that confuses me.  If we know exercise is good for us, and that our overall situation improves with exercise and reasonable eating habits, why do so few engage in it?

A top theory I have – people lack the courage to do the hard things. Like think about the consequences. And, there’s way too much codependency.

Editor’s note:  I struggle with this as much or more than you. Everyone does.  So quit feeling sorry for yourself.  I have.

Heres my secret:

“If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough”.

Basically, the hidden meaning is this – we need to be motivated for something bigger than ourselves.  Period.

The next progression to fulfill Lane 8’s vision is firmly in place. Stay tuned as the story continues.  Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Still Reflecting

Not a day goes by that the fond memories of Lahti, Finland don’t find a conscious place in my thoughts.

Without going into too much detail today, this event has changed my life.

Not in some major, 180 or 360 degree way.  But in a multitude of subtle ways.

Uploading You Tube videos is more time consuming than you might think.  Yet each time I do, there is a distinct memory – and key learning – with each.

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

There is something to be said for being self-taught.  For starters, you have 24/7, 365 access to the instructor.  How cool is that?

Lane 8 & Lance Armstrong?

Lane 8 and Lance Armstrong?

Tuesday, Lance Armstrong sent a Twitter message that he has reached 1.4 million followers.

He was amazed, considering there once was a time when it only took 14k to amaze him.

Do the math.  Compare 14,000 to 1,400,000.

Mind boggling.

I have ten Twitter followers currently.  I’ll be amazed if it ever hits 1,000.

There’s a part of me that believes, as Lane 8 blossoms, there will also be 1.4 million followers here.

Crazy?  Yes.  But once I roll out the next goal of Lane 8, I believe 1.4mil is actually a small number.

There’s a big plan to help make the world a better place.

Dream Big.  Get There.  Stay There.  Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

PS.  Just so we’re clear, I absolutely practice what I preach. 🙂

Lance Armstrong & Mahatma Gandhi

Lance Armstrong & Mahatma Gandhi.

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”Mahatma Gandhi

Found this quote contained in Lance Armstrong’s Twitter message the other day.

You can follow Lance Armstrong on Twitter.  He has over 1.3 million Twitter followers.

Indomitable will.  I can’t get that word out of my mind.  Indomitable.

Impossible to defeat.  This is incomprehensible for me.

Kinda like going to Finland in three weeks for the World Championships.
