They’re going to Paris, body

I Can Fly

‘They’ are Cheryl and me.

We’re going to Paris.

Wheels up in 48 hours.

Feels like hitting the physical lottery.

T-minus 5 days, body

Been thinking about how well the past couple weeks have been going with sets & reps for my no-gym gym workouts.

Aging teaches me that i must balance what my brain wants to do and says that i can do.

My Disney creativity (on high excitement-mode from all the Disney purging) is suggesting an exercise purge may be helpful.

It asks, “Would a week away from exercise be a blessing in disguise?”

And i’m thinking the pros and cons.

Pros:

  1. Rare, beneficial ‘extended rest to muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc.
  2. Spend that time enjoying the Paris to Normandy River Cruise in a way that doesn’t require an exercise commitment/distraction.

Cons:

  1. Can’t think of any that are real.

Two week countdown, body

USAir Paris
Paris to Charlotte, NC. Coming home from a business trip in 2012.

Today’s ‘workout’ felt easy and joyful.

Same workout i do every Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

It’s not the upcoming Paris trip excitement that helped.

It was a two-day (weekend) rest.

And a shirtless workout.

Spring’s morning temps are making a tee-shirt an unwanted layer. Too hot and sweaty.

Kinda like being a young lad on a Pennsylvania Summer.

We can not eliminate weight with wait

Two miles into yesterday’s 8-miler, this reminded me of what France has been through the past six days.

Just a normal, ordinary morning on November 18, 2015.

We can not eliminate weight with wait.

Lance Armstrong & Mahatma Gandhi

Lance Armstrong & Mahatma Gandhi.

“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”Mahatma Gandhi

Found this quote contained in Lance Armstrong’s Twitter message the other day.

You can follow Lance Armstrong on Twitter.  He has over 1.3 million Twitter followers.

Indomitable will.  I can’t get that word out of my mind.  Indomitable.

Impossible to defeat.  This is incomprehensible for me.

Kinda like going to Finland in three weeks for the World Championships.

Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂
