Lane 8 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania?

Yes, jeff noel from Lane 8 here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

How important is a competitive advantage?

It’s everything! Right?

When I travel, I attempt to use the travel day as a rest from training.

Even though the newness, and the break in scenery, would make running here, and other places, very enjoyable and motivating, I have to remember that traveling leaves me vulnerable to conditions outside my control.

Air travel, flight delays, client schedules and commitments, traffic, weather, etc.

Wisdom comes from experience and experience comes from making mistakes.

If your goal isn’t impossible, you’re not reaching high enough. Carpe diem, jeff noel 🙂

Cross your fingers

In a few minutes, around 7:15AM, I’ll be heading out for another five-miler.

Moment of truth?

I hope so.

And I hope that whatever happens, I’ll be strong enough to surrender, should I be disappointed.  Or to be strong enough to embrace the enormous responsibility to keep moving forward.  This is an impossible-goal journey, which is more than ten years in the making.

From the memory of elementary school reading assignments, “Run, jeff, run.  See jeff run“.

Carpe diem, jeff  🙂

Excited about….

Excited about running tomorrow.  Meanwhile here’s Thursday’s update.

Didn’t run today, mostly because I had too much on my plate.

Started the day at Hanger Prosthetics, getting fitted for new custom orthotics and a new Night Splint.  That felt good to finally get that done.  Have had the prescriptions since January 5th.   Did I mention being busy?

I rationalized that I could use a day’s rest from running, but not the gym – core and strength workout.

Can’t wait for a five-miler tomorrow morning.  Carpe PM, good night, jeff 🙂
