Do you see what they see?

Eye exams now include detailed photos, Before and after dilation. Vitreous floaters are the dark cloudy portions.

Do you see what they see?

Physicians are like coaches.

They are trained on:

  • what to look for for peak performance
  • how to recognize common pitfalls
  • advising protocols to resolve or prevent
  • if lucky, they get bedside manner training too
  • if really lucky, they get running-a-business training

By consistently involving a coach, we save time, money, and enhance our standard of wellbeing and perhaps prevent or minimize irreversible damage if we are left to our own devices.

The great challenge for every generation is how to stay healthy in a busy world, and, free ourselves from career entrapment.

The i’s have it

Yesterday at the Mall At Millenia, on the way home from The Walt Disney Theater in downtown Orlando.

The i’s have it.

More specifically, the eyes have it.

Diet, exercise, nutrition, etc, are foundational. Other vital organs benefit from a strong physical well-being.

Rest, nutrition, and a strong cardio-vascular system compliment what our eyes, and other vital organs need.

There’s a digital eye exam available. Asked the store manager who is the best Optician for me.

Is there ever any harm in asking?

Will You Please?

I Ain't Making This Up
I Ain't Making This Up

Will you change the way you think about diet and exercise?

Or will you give up, like you always do?

Hey, you’re an adult.  You get this. I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know.

Don’t do it.

Don’t cave.

Don’t give up.

You can do it.

Be smarter. Think differently. Act differently. Don’t do it all in one month.

You have the rest of your life, but only if you get started and never quit.

One day at a time.

Start small and simple.  Think long-term. Dust off your indomitable will. Never quit.

When you die, then you can relax.  You good with that?

Power In The Impossible

What’s the power in the impossible?

Everything!

Yesterday, in a casual conversation, a friend mentioned that 90% of humans, if given the chance to transform themselves into something better, would not do so.

Can’t assure you this is a valid statistic, however, I’m using it here to illustrate a simple point. Even if the statistic is incorrect, there is something we can all agree on.

Most people (no matter the exact percentage) are afraid of change. Period.

And yet change is the only constant. Period.

What does this mean to you?  Probably nothing, unfortunately.  Why? Because 90% reading this are afraid to change. Most won’t think the impossible is possible.

Everyday Health

Everyday Health is a daily email I subscribe to.  Why?  Because when I find something that is excellent, it’s helpful to have a way to find it easily.  Click here to see a great one from yesterday.

Yes, we all bookmark certain websites, adding them to our Favorites. But an RSS feed or an email subscription can be a great strategy for daily reminders about what matters most – Health.

The health of our Mind, Body, Spirit and Finances.

Staying active is important at any age, yet it’s especially important at Mid Life.  Be the change you wish to see in others.  Be the role model for healthy living.  Have the courage to do the hard work. Or not.
