Rest is a superpower

Rest generally means sleep.

Rest also means taking a break. Any duration. Any time.

Rest might last a relative lifetime. Say, retirement from working.

Rest may also be defined as quitting.

Blogging resting will be here soon.

Today is Sunday, one of my favorite physical rest days.

Rest day, lovely rest day

The idea of doing nothing is foreign to me.

The idea of doing nothing on a Sunday has been talked about and promoted by society, my entire life.

Aiming at be excellent at the basics.

Ps. A work in progress as they say.

Pss. Been consistent for years at not working out on weekends. Motivated by rest’s physical importance.

Five big choices ‘justs’

Disney customer service keynote speaker
Stumbled on this Disney Keynote photo. Clearing (deleting) texts yesterday and stumbled on three photos i didn’t know i had. The conference photographer texted them soon after the event. This is the second one.

Five ‘big choices’:

  1. Just think
  2. Just move
  3. Just feel
  4. Just work
  5. Just dwell

Flu, Type A

disney cupcakes
Indulge. You’ve earned it. Right?

Today is day six with Influenza, Type A.

This began on Christmas Eve “eve” (Dec 23).

So on the third day, Christmas Day, i was well into the physical affects.

Body aches. Fever. Head and chest congestion. Tired. No appetite.

Luckily, never had headaches.

Thank you DayQuill and NightQuill. BIG TIME!

Today is the first day that feels like progress.

Not yet physically at a ‘good” level. But it feels near.

Woke up at 1:00 AM drenched in sweat.

Sheets soaked. Both the bottom and the top sheets.

Cheryl has been sleeping in the Guest room most of the week.

Influenza A is highly contagious.

The first three days i thought it was a cold. We did not distance ourselves.

Last night i walked one mile at sunset.

Note: If a typical activity week is Monday through Friday (assume five days weekly), i’ve been averaging about 7 miles per day. And two or three ‘no-gym’ gym workouts. This week i’ve average .2 miles per day and zero gym workouts. Grateful to be alive and with my Family.
