My favorite hiker of all time.

If you don’t exercise your body, you never notice your chains.

All or nothing

Not being all in means you’re not all in.

100% all-in obliterates every other percentage of “in”.

Being 90% ‘in’ is a great start, but it eventually cheats on 100% all-in, when the going gets tough.

The going always gets tough.

Insight: 90% and 10% both fail. One happens faster, but failure still happens in both cases.

Without exception, all-in is required for what you desire most.

Explain like i’m 12

Please explain physical vibrancy to me. Pretend i’m 12.

Hmm…physical vibrancy…

Move, fuel, rest.

Be an example, not a warning.

Honor the temple housing everything keeping you alive.

Strength, endurance, flexibility, core, nutrition, rest, and motivation. Everything matters, nothing is optional.

Never get bored with the basics. Be brilliant at the basics. Find a million ways to stay motivated.

No regrets

women sitting next to two bicycles
After the moving company picked up our boxes, we began readying our bicycles. Just days away from the start of our Honeymoon — 14 months after we were married, but hey, who’s counting.

We did not have the ‘luxury” nor the wish for a 10-day, all-expenses paid Hawaiian honeymoon.

But we (me more than Cheryl) knew we’d regret not doing a cross-state (and even International, into Victoria, British Columbia) bicycle ‘honeymoon’.

We were cash-poor, yet time-rich.

So we took 2.5 weeks, and $200 cash, to live out an incredible dream to have the adventure of our young lifetime.

Why is our body’s health important?

Jeff Noel from Disney, first book
Crisis is closed-mindset. Celebration is growth-mindset. A growth-mindset empowers you to break free from old-age’s sedentary stereotype. Closed-mindset says regular exercise is for young people.

Why is our body’s health important?
