What’s your walking wheelhouse?

i spend a lot of time over-focusing on nurturing physical vibrancy.

A key part of the effort is to remain fun to be around.

i know how to walk slow, like an old person who rarely walks.

But it’s not in my wheelhouse.

Halupki Magic

A plate full of stuffed cabbage
Last night. Dinner. Cheryl used her Grammy’s recipe. Halupkies are stuffed cabbage.

Six mile walk today.

Third consecutive day this week.

Never gets old.

Plus, another…

100 push-ups, 20 pull-ups, planks, etc.

Also never gets old. This portion is done three times a week.

Physical progress

Apple Watch fitness app
Walked with Chapin. He asked to join me. We didn’t start walking until 200pm. Midway we sat and talked by a lake with water fowl.
10-second video: Three days ago. i usually walk or bike here. On this day, i was driving home and pulled in to do one video to surprise the person i had just walked with at Epcot.

Motivation is like a fire.

Fires go out when the fuel is spent.

To restart the fire, you have to rebuild it and start over.

If you tend to the fire before it goes out, you never have to start over. You just have to continue to add fuel to it.

Motivation is fuel.

Motivation is a fire.

Find a million ways to stay motivated and you’ll keep your fire going.

You’re still on fire, right?

Note: Making progress in life’s other four big choices enhances my desire for increased physical resiliency.

Magic’s survival rate

Disney University
Rode my bike here. Why? To call someone that loves Disney. They love Disney so much they want to make the organization (and themselves) like Walt. Ps. i biked the long way to get here.

Magic’s survival rate increases by intentionally focusing and disciplining yourself with a fanaticism rarely seen.

Think of fanaticism this way…

Mediocre trails average. Average trails above-average. Above-average trails fanaticism.

Fanaticism leads the way to transformation. Hard stop.

Waking up in your own bed, body

Google map
Upper left corner, 5:29am. Goal was 5:30am departure.

Not only are we waking up in our own bed for the first time in three weeks (which we wouldn’t trade being gone those three weeks for anything), we are privileged to exercise in our established community, (sleep in our own bed), and eat in our own dining room.

Simple pleasures and privileges.

Easy to take for granted when you do them day in and day out.

But miss them for an extended time and marvel at how much you missed them.

What seems like a mundane daily routine can paradoxically feel like the royal, VIP treatment.
