Top Right Link Will Always Lead You

It is now amazingly easy to click through all five daily blogs, without having to think or remember which order or how many you’ve already visited.

Simply click the top link under Blogroll, on the upper right-hand column. It automatically advances you.

Ever heard these phrases?:

  • Never get bored with the basics
  • It’s common sense, but not common practice
  • The road to excellence has no finish line

On a friend’s suggestion, I’ve simplified navigation between the five daily blogs.

It’s basic, it’s common sense, and just one more simple improvement.

Maybe you weren’t aware I write five daily blogs.

We need five daily blogs to optimize our lives, the same way we need these five to optimize our health:

  1. Strength
  2. Endurance
  3. Flexibility
  4. Nutrition
  5. Rest

Again, common sense, but not common practice.

Did Ja?

After reading yesterday’s Lane 8 blog post, did you think long and hard about your health?

Let me guess, “No.”

What motivates you at work?  At home?

What demotivates you at work? At home?

You can use your answers to figure it out.  And that’s the bottom line isn’t it?

Figure it out!

No one is going to hold your hand.  You are an adult, fully and completely responsible for your health.

Period.

Late yesterday, I was on the phone with a great friend. We spoke for nearly 30 minutes about really significant, life “stuff”.  He’s a great listener, and he allows me to verbalize dreams, goals.

I dream of you being healthier than you are now. And doing whatever it takes to be your catalyst for positive change.

Almost 51, I practice what I preach.  Take a look. This was two days ago. How many 51 year olds can do this?

Why Exercise?

Age old question isn’t it? Why exercise?

What’s your answer?

There will never be a better time than right now to do it. I realize many reading this will disagree that there’s a better day than today.

If so, may I ask this, “Then if it’s not today, when?”

How many more days, weeks, months, years can your answer be, “Not today?”

Have a great day. “Here’s to your health, your goals, your dreams, and, to today!”

Exercise Change Leadership?

Change leadership.  Personal leadership.  Great Leaders use these buzzwords.  And why not?  They sound inspiring and focused.

All with a simple purpose – to make things better. And it’s harder than ever to make things better.

So, how can we make things better?

What if we restated the beginning phrases:

  1. Transformational change
  2. Transformational leadership

And it all starts with the person in the mirror.  And next it starts with a commitment to get healthy and stay healthy.

Ya in?

Power In The Impossible

What’s the power in the impossible?

Everything!

Yesterday, in a casual conversation, a friend mentioned that 90% of humans, if given the chance to transform themselves into something better, would not do so.

Can’t assure you this is a valid statistic, however, I’m using it here to illustrate a simple point. Even if the statistic is incorrect, there is something we can all agree on.

Most people (no matter the exact percentage) are afraid of change. Period.

And yet change is the only constant. Period.

What does this mean to you?  Probably nothing, unfortunately.  Why? Because 90% reading this are afraid to change. Most won’t think the impossible is possible.
