Eight-milers and gym visits on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays can get old.

Boredom, excuses, fatigue, procrastination, time  – yeah, they add up.

Over manage the things you used to under manage or ignore.

Be intentional about being fit for life.

PS. Be rebellious enough to fight for your wellness.

Not exercising because?

Because it’s an absurd proposition.

Not exercising because we are out of shape is as ridiculous as saying, i’m not showering because i’m dirty.

Absurd.

Yet this is the bull crap conversation we have with ourselves.

Again, absurd.

Today is yesterday’s tomorrow

Yesterday while exiting Epcot. You can’t keep a Park clean by dreaming.

 

Today is yesterday’s tomorrow.

Yesterday i didn’t say, “I’ll exercise tomorrow”.

And today i look back on yesterday and say, “That eight-mile run and core workout at Gold’s was a great investment”.

If you can dream it, you can do it. This is not true unless you make it so. Quotes are meaningless without a lifetime of dedicated effort.

Covered 10 miles to Magic Kingdom and back yesterday after a week off. Seven miles of running, the rest walking. It was great thinking time.

Exercise is good for multitasking. Good for the body, good for the soul.

Hot, still, humid air can flood our ambition

Yesterday, 30 minutes of walking before sunrise.

 

Even though it was dark when i walked down the driveway to begin a Monday morning run yesterday, the air was anything but cool.

First i said, “i’ll walk 800 meters to warmup, get loose, and get motivated”.

At 800 meters, i extended it to a one mile warmup walk, and even before the first mile was done, i knew what was going to happen.

i was going to say, “i don’t feel like running today. i’ll just do the same amount of time, but walk instead of run. It will be good to cross-train”.

Every avid runner struggles with the same things every other (rookie) runner struggles with.
