Resting the body but not the mind

Card game
Yesterday, like every Sunday afternoon, was spent at Kissimmee’s Coliseum of Comics.

While our Son enjoyed the YuGiOh tournament, i worked.

Organized our tax paperwork, school health forms, and a set of questions for a business solicitation.

Weekends are reserved for physical rest, yet the mind often gets an intense workout.

Balance is relative, and revolves around energy distribution, not time equity.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Be careful when health no longer is a priority

Disney Space Mountain
Running to Magic Kingdom from home yesterday…almost there.

Leadership and adulthood are synonymous.

Life is one long “delay of game”.

Sometime around puberty, our ability to dream wide open starts to become censored.

When was the last time i exercised regularly?

Be careful when health no longer is a priority.

Balance is not a myth

Windermere Prep School near Horse farm
Yesterday’s run included going down a street i haven’t been on, but pass nearly everyday. Our High School is beyond the horse (left).

Decent eight-miler yesterday morning.

Also a decent gym workout in the afternoon.

These are things that refresh not only our body, but also our mind and our spirit.

A trifecta of sorts.

The few, the smart, the hopeful

William Wallace quote
Yesterday from, of all places, a Comic Book store.

If you’ve traveled here via Mid Life Celebration, thank you.

Why thank you?

Because if you’ve navigated from MLC you are likely to click through the next three blogs.

What this tells me is you get it.

You get the interconnectedness between mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

There’s even a chance you believe that balance is not a myth.

It’s cool to know there are others who believe in not accepting “balance is not possible”.
