Apparently, physical vibrancy promotes contagious energy.

A physically vibrant 59-year old just does what he does, without thinking about it.

He’s focused on reaching people’s hearts and being the transformational catalyst to help them .think .differently

Many of yesterday’s audience comments revolved around the energy and enthusiasm that’s part of his speaking style.

The CEO led the personal comments.

He appeared to be the same age.

It was not his intent to remind anyone that older adults – particularly busy business leaders – are probably not spending enough time honoring the temple housing everything keeping them alive.

Made this list for our Son the day before – to facilitate an important discussion.

 

Context: Two dads who met and began bonding in 2003 through their kids’ pre-school – they saw each other this week at the gym for the first time in a year…

There are seven keys to world-class vibrancy.

Chuck, a friend (and that fellow dad i met in 2003), hired a personal trainer who introduced Chuck to three of the seven keys to vibrant health: cardio, strength, and nutrition.

i know this because we spoke about it yesterday and i drilled Chuck with questions.

How does a trainer (coach) leave out four of the seven?

My educated guess is the trainer (at 25, a two-time champion bodybuilder) doesn’t yet have the wisdom (years/experience) to discern the scope of all seven.

At the end of our conversation, i offered Chuck a friend’s and family discount for executive coaching. Why? Because he’d do the same if i asked him to fix my pool pump. Chuck runs a pool service business.

But he certainly can’t scale his business by offering all his close friends a free ride every time they could use it.

Same here.

Which one, if there is one, is more important than the other six?

To neglect this is to literally neglect everything.

Your health.

Your company’s health.

Blinding flash of the obvious, health is wealth.

Getting and staying healthy is constant, tiring, repetitive work.

What else is there to live for if not to live with vibrancy? Too lofty? Too elusive? Too hard? What other path could possibly be easier? The path that includes a lack of wellness created by unfocused and undisciplined choices?
