Choose to be extraordinary. Words and phrases shape our thinking. Our thinking shapes our habits.

Randomly, the intricate detail caught my eye though the camera’s zoom lense.

One of my seven wellness architectural blueprints is rest.

Primarily focused on sleep, it also relates to recovering from physical activity.

While sleep is perfect for recovery, so are scenic diversions from our daily routine.

Yesterday afternoon i made an intentional choice to get to the high school 30 minutes early (to pick up our Son) and sit on the bench by the office.

Three years ago, i used to do this every day.

My business wasn’t as busy then.

i had more time to spare.

Looking to take back more spare time.

Guard your rest

Apgar Village in snow
Webcam screenshot yesterday. Apgar Village at Glacier National Park’s west entrance and Lake McDonald’s south end. Please don’t hibernate from your responsibility.

Guard your rest.

Right now, reflect on your sleep patterns, habits, and goals.

Is there great alignment between what you know is great and what you actually do?

Congrats, you’re one of the few.

The early bird gets the worm, and the sunrise.

No exercise yesterday.

Sundays are a day of rest.

Generally.

You’ve got your routine all set too…that’s awesome.

Skipping is ok once in awhile

conference name tag
Before trashing this yesterday, it reminded me how little it takes to dress up “par for the course”. Added the thin box outline and the smile.

Skipping is ok once in awhile.

Not recommended when training is in season.

But otherwise, listen to your body.

My ill and aching body said, “Take a break.”

It felt good to listen and act without stress.
