Just keep walking

Went to bed an hour later last night. Watched Zootopia. Disney’s Zootopia 2 is in theaters now. Have attempted to watch 2016’s original release multiple times. Always fall asleep.

Sleep is under-rated.

Most people are chronically tired. Most aren’t even aware.

Same with chronic dehydration.

While this post’s title is “Just keep walking”, rest and hydration are two key, core, lifetime health reps.

Just keep doing all of it.

Physical progress

Walked with Chapin. He asked to join me. We didn’t start walking until 200pm. Midway we sat and talked by a lake with water fowl.
10-second video: Three days ago. i usually walk or bike here. On this day, i was driving home and pulled in to do one video to surprise the person i had just walked with at Epcot.

Motivation is like a fire.

Fires go out when the fuel is spent.

To restart the fire, you have to rebuild it and start over.

If you tend to the fire before it goes out, you never have to start over. You just have to continue to add fuel to it.

Motivation is fuel.

Motivation is a fire.

Find a million ways to stay motivated and you’ll keep your fire going.

You’re still on fire, right?

Note: Making progress in life’s other four big choices enhances my desire for increased physical resiliency.

Walking a lot is rare

Awesome workout yesterday. Felt physically vibrant in a way i haven’t in the past 15 months — since the first retina tear.

What is 6.3 + 2.5? Nearly nine miles. It’s only 3:20pm. Figuring there is more mileage in the day. Note: Pre-loaded today’s blog photos yesterday. Yesterday was a 10-mile day.

Yesterday, felt stronger and more physically conditioned than i have in 15 months.

29 mailboxes a day for a week

Assume 1,600 meters for a mile, or 16 mailboxes.

Began this week (yesterday, Monday, Memorial Day) running 29 mailboxes a day. We will repeat this today through Friday.

This is the start of our 40th week.

The math says for 11 weeks, we didn’t add a mailbox. The weeks we didn’t add, we just duplicated the previous week’s total mailbox’s.

Eleven “mailboxes” equal 1,100 meters – almost 3/4 of a mile.

Son, please bank on slow and steady winning the race.

While we may”only” be at 29 mailboxes for 40 weeks, we have been waking up early and hitting it for 40 continuous weeks.

The real metric is not distance, it’s hidden in the habit transformation.

Adapt like you mean it

First Interstate drive was yesterday afternoon.

Adapt like you mean it.

Driving through Lake Buena Vista, onto Interstate 4, past Universal Studios to the Mall at Millenia – some of the busiest tourist corridors in the world – you immediately adapted to a heightened level of new-driver difficulty never before experienced.

Well done.

Now transfer adaptability to wellness.

When you arrive at college, you will be in a heightened level of distraction, time management and personal responsibility.

Rise to the occasion like you always do.
