Just keep walking

Went to bed an hour later last night. Watched Zootopia. Disney’s Zootopia 2 is in theaters now. Have attempted to watch 2016’s original release multiple times. Always fall asleep.

Sleep is under-rated.

Most people are chronically tired. Most aren’t even aware.

Same with chronic dehydration.

While this post’s title is “Just keep walking”, rest and hydration are two key, core, lifetime health reps.

Just keep doing all of it.

Eight days a week

Six miles a day (minimum, ideally), five days a week.

Never get bored with the basics.

Apple Watch fitness summary
Assuming five walking days per week times four weeks. So five miles per day seems decent. Today was only two miles walking inside Magic Kingdom. Why? Because of the 11-mile bike ride to and from. Ps. Biked the long way to get some extra miles.

In Nebraska two weeks ago for four days. Disney Customer Service keynote speaking engagement. Never went outside (during the polar vortex).

Noteworthy is the bridge connecting the Hilton with the 18,000-seat Arena and Convention Center.

Now that’s it’s back in the 70’s, i spend as much time outside as possible.

Ps. If necessary, i wear a short-sleeved tee-shirt to keep warm.

Math doesn’t lie

Lane 8 got its domain name from the impossible story about the worst lane and finishing last.

Incremental progress adds up over time. So does incremental decline.

This reminds me how i began running at age 40.

Shuffle-jogged to our neighbor’s mailbox.

Next day, repeat.

One mailbox a day the first week.

Two mailboxes a day the second week.

Three mailboxes a day the third week.

Mailboxes are 100 meters apart.

Took one month (four mailboxes a day) to shuffle-jog the distance of one lap around a high school track.

Let that sink in for a moment.

What did you expect?

Walt Disney at Disneyland
Exercise doesn’t cure everything nor everyone, but it does do many people good.

Walked 6 miles yesterday.

Also, like every M-W-F every week:

Did 100 pushups, 20 pull-ups, one-minute of parallel bar planks. And, assorted other “no-gym” gym workouts.

Thankful for the motivation and ability to do these things.
