Exercising our creativity is critical

Walmart tire repair
Drove to Walmart to have tire repaired and walked 5k roundtrip to gym (worked out) while i waited.

 

Did the gym workout backwards yesterday; so the first exercise i did was what is normally done last, and what is normally first was last.

The week is structured for bicycling and gym on Mondays, Wednesdays,  and Fridays.

Since i missed Wednesday, Thursday became the makeup day.

Flex when you have to.

And find a million ways to stay motivated.

The alternative is creative excuses to miss.

Too many misses spell disaster.

Different from all other trips in the past is having a cross country runner as a running partner for the first time.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

A cold front is arriving today, so i enjoyed the warm water two days ago, knowing the water will cool dramatically.

Two weeks ago, i made a simple decision to mix up my workouts.

To make it easy (at first) i am not doing new exercises, but i am playing around with the weight and repetitions.

Big picture – heavier weights, fewer reps, alternating with some days doing the tried and true routine.

Can already feel an increase in strength.

This is motivating in a way the “stale” routine no longer delivers on.
