Hitting snooze is a symptom

iPhone clock
Yikes.

Hitting snooze is a symptom.

For what?

Not getting enough sleep.

Even after eight hours last night, this morning i hit snooze three times.

An extra 27 minutes of sleeping – nine minutes per snooze.

i never do this, even though i spent from my 18th birthday to my 40th birthday doing it daily.

Why this morning?

For seven nights in Glacier National Park last week, i averaged six hours of sleep, including the final night getting only 4.5 hours.

You only get today once

You only get today once.

How’d you sleep last night, and when are you planning to climb into bed tonight?

Today, what are you planning to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner (and snacks)?

Today, will you do anything that raises your heart rate (and deepens your breathing) for 20-30 minutes?

Today, will you do anything that requires your strength – also raising your heart rate and deepening your breathing?

Today, will you stretch your large muscle groups?

Today, will you move in ways that challenge your core?

Today, are you motivated to do the six things above or are you planning to skip today because tomorrow seems like you’ll be better situated to do them?

Priorities.

Time.

Most of us will struggle with sleep habits during our life.

Most of us will struggle with sleep habits during our life.

Our mental attitude, our physical wellness, our spiritual centeredness, our work contribution, and our home organization all contribute to or fight against stress.

Stress, from its many, and often insidious sources, is a leading cause of restlessness.
