It’s been almost 20 years of continuous wellness. Started working at Disney Institute in March 1999. About one year later, began running one mailbox a day. Ever since, haven’t gone more than 14 continuous days (once) without exercising.

Less than a handful of times there were no-exercise stretches of 9 or 10 days. Other than those anomalies, it’s never been more than a few days without.

Have been saying this since 1999 when i became a Disney Institute facilitator, “Culture is simply habits”.

With that in mind…

  • Habits equal behaviors.
  • Behaviors equal results.
  • Habits equal results.

We thrive or not in relation to the energy of our habits.

Simple math says intentional habits yield intentional results and unintentional habits yield unintentional results.

If you’ve never trained for a physical accomplishment, this is going to seem foreign. i hope this changes for you soon. If you have trained before, then you get it intuitively.

Food is fuel, not pleasure.

Eat like you mean it…like your day (and your life) depends on it.

Habits bless us and curse us. We are not doomed, as the cartoon states, unless we think we are.

Habits are a tidal wave.

Bad habits can control us and overwhelm us like a tidal wave – completely wrecking whatever is in its path.

And this control can last a lifetime.

Same thing happens in companies that haven’t learned to manage their culture well.

Back to doom and gloom. You have the power, with the right goals and motivation, to not be doomed.
