No one teaches us to fight back and refuse to do it that way

Brand new car odometer

(photo: Bought the van with one mile on it. The second mile came from the trip to the gas station to fill the tank.)

No one teaches us to fight back and refuse to do it that way. So easy to blend in and ignore the logical guilt for not exercising, not eating well, and not getting adequate rest. No one else does. Right?

The photo represents the obscene lack of ‘mileage’ most adults put into their health and wellness bank.

Saturday and Sunday taken as active rest

There’s an intriguing correlation between improving one area in our life and the degree to which the other areas are similarly impacted even though the ripple effect wasn’t our motive.

Sometimes change is forced our way and sometimes we control whether change can happen or not. And generally we are resistant to change, so we fight it when it’s forced, and we’d much rather take comfort in tradition and routine.

The reason both weekend days were active rest is because Mid Life Celebration is ‘closed’ on weekends – a “money” decision rippling into body.

It’s all connected isn’t it?

It’s all connected isn’t it?

As crazy at this sounds it’s true. Using our emotions and imagination, we treat Pets like humans.

What if we treated our body like a temple?

As crazy as this sounds, what if we used our emotions and imagination to worship this temple as something sacred?

Life.

Stress.

At home.

At work.

Mentally.

Physically.

Spiritually.

All connected.

If we know this, what then, stops us from maximizing our circumstances.

Our wellness.

What?

Three incredibles does not make a right

Apple keyboard

(photo: What’s our function regarding personal health? Who’s in control, what options do we have? Will society shift its behavior?)

So incredible how everything we do gets done so much more vibrantly when we are in great physical condition.

So incredible how it works in reverse too when we are sluggish, overweight, sleep-deprived, less-than-energetic.

What is most incredible of all?

How society gravitated to the second option.

Blogging is similar to running is similar to life

Blogging is similar to running, and running is similar to life.

Some runs are long. Some short. Some focused on aerobic strength. Some on anaerobic conditioning.

Some posts are longer. Some shorter. Some directly to the point. Some have no definitive answer.

Balancing it all is key. Especially in life.

Be well.
