It can add up quickly

Was a Guest on Jody Maberry’s podcast two days ago and he shared what we did in 5 days n Glacier National Park. The first number is for steps taken. Flights up also equals flights down – in case it wasn’t obvious.

It can add up quickly.

The number of days, months, years that you consistently stay active.

Same with the number that you don’t.

Risk!

What’s the first thing you think of?

Totally a risk.

And an opportunity.

The only failure is staying inactive.

i quit sugar one year ago

Halloween, in five days, is the Super Bowl of candy sales and consumption. Photo: the first thing you see entering our local grocery store, yesterday.

i quit sugar one year ago.

The freedom from the pull to eat sugary sweets is liberating, joyful, and revealing.

When i pass on sweets in public, and people ask why, the explanation often reveals the elephant in the room – generally speaking, many Americans are addicted to sugar.

Relax, don’t do it

Lehigh Valley (PA) airport yesterday. Used Apple Pay to buy 12 minutes of chair massage.

Relax, don’t do it.

What?

Don’t wait, and…

Don’t continue an active and growing streak of days doing nothing.

Repetition, practice, persistence

Bicycling in Glacier National Park – in June – before Sun Road opens to vehicular traffic.

How do you build self-confidence?

How does our physical wellness contribute to self-confidence?

How does repetition, practice, and persistence build our self-confidence?

Assuming you are wise enough by now to easily do the math.

The long-way is the short-cut.

Yesterday you said, “Tomorrow”.

Today is yesterday’s tomorrow.

Finding your rhythm

Second place, 20-year old Sydney McLaughlin, was only 2/100ths of a second off the old world record.

Finding your rhythm has many meanings.

For me one of those meanings is adapting to lifestyle change.

Developing lifestyle normalcy happens through intentional over-focusing, and a growing confidence.

Hoping for a Monday morning Baltimore Anytime Fitness workout in two hours.
