Weekends were made for Michelob. A 1977 commercial and it’s tag line made me think about a similar tag line:
Weekends were made for bicycling.
We have been bicycling regularly (though nothing major) throughout the summer. But with the advent of High School, the only time available is on the weekends.
It’s too hot after the sun comes up. And after school is iffy because of common Florida thunderstorms.
So the freshman gets up early on the weekends.

Back to back excellent interval workouts had me wanting feeling a change was necessary yesterday.
Some LSD.
Some long, slow, distance.
Maybe a 10-11 miler.
A different turn about four miles in would provide a route not run before. How far would it be?
It turned out to be 16.1 miles.

It means a victory over having inactivity being our lifetime habit.
Inactivity must be replaced with it’s opposite, activity.
Why does it seem like the obvious choice isn’t obvious?
