No consistency, no success

Passion definition
No consistent passion, no success.

No consistency, no success.

Over the course of your lifetime:

Contrast consistent exercise versus inconsistent exercise.

Contrast consistently balanced nutrition versus inconsistently balanced nutrition.

Contrast consistent rest versus inconsistent rest.

Makes a compelling case for achieving successful wellness.

Didn’t catch if these are prioritized. The first one is most important because it drives everything else.

What do you do when you write 2,922 days in a row?

Exercise.

Skipped the 40k roundtrip bike ride in exchange for seeing Simon Bailey speak locally yesterday morning. My body was whispering, “Give your legs a break.”

Planned for it and had gym gear in the trunk.

Nice workout at Gold’s on the way home from the event.

To neglect this is to literally neglect everything.

Your health.

Your company’s health.

Blinding flash of the obvious, health is wealth.

Getting and staying healthy is constant, tiring, repetitive work.

What else is there to live for if not to live with vibrancy? Too lofty? Too elusive? Too hard? What other path could possibly be easier? The path that includes a lack of wellness created by unfocused and undisciplined choices?

We often work on the weekends too. Try not to make it a habit.

Not a fan of going to the gym on a Saturday. But without yesterday’s workout, the week would have yielded only one gym workout. Flex when needed, but try not to need it.

The value of enterprise and never getting bored with the basics

Middle school graduation
Four of the five moving up to High School in the Fall.

Less than one in ten will commit to a lifetime of vibrantly healthy living.

Want a lifetime of health and wellbeing?

Over-manage the things you used to under-manage or ignore:

  1. Endurance
  2. Strength
  3. Nutrition
  4. Rest
  5. Flexibility
  6. Core
  7. Motivation

It’s that simple and that difficult.
