Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. Yet many Boomers make excuses about how lucky, or how privileged, or how blah-blah-blah someone else is, and therefore they are justified in their self-pity and self-doubt. (please excuse me while I go throw up…be right back)
How lame is it to make a promise to a 7-year old that when he turns eight he’s old enough to travel on a business trip with Dad, and not fulfill it until he’s 11? With one week before departure, I figured it out, bought his plane ticket and finally fulfilled my promise to Chapin.

It’s still challenging for me to get my arms around the notion that this world competition is only for “old people”, and that I am one of those old people.
