Restful sleep only happened because of focus and discipline

Three consecutive nights of eight hours sleep. Unheard of mostly. Life on the road comes with a corporate credit card, expense account, nice hotels, first class air travel, great restaurants, etc.

It also comes with disrupted surroundings, long days, distractions, stress, pressure, comfort foods, difficulty sleeping, excuses for not exercising, etc.

At O’Hare yesterday, I almost puked cried watching this – the overwhelming number of people carrying around much more than they needed. All that extra luggage. Not Samsonite. Not gift bags…

But I hate to exercise, it’s no fun.

Yesterday I foresaw the opportunity to get eight hours of sleep last night. How difficult is getting a good night’s sleep? Sometimes it feels impossible.
