Who wants to?

The emotions and thoughts from sitting here run from joy to sadness, from gratitude to confusion.

Did i want to run in 36 degree weather yesterday?

Could i have spent those 90 minutes in a more comfortable situation?

Who wants to watch TV all day, everyday?

Being around people 20 to 40 years older than you – if you pay close attention and aren’t medicated, distracted, or entertained – you become keenly aware that vibrant health is something to fight like hell for.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Don’t read the fine print, write it

Reading the fine print?

The only way to make a New Year’s resolution stick for the rest of our lives is to make “the rest of our lives” part of our contract.

Conventional cliches revolve around “make sure you read the fine print”.

Try this on for size:

Make sure you write the fine print.

You, yes you. Write your contract with yourself. Add the fine print. You know, the clause that says, “I must do this or everything is null and void.”

Dream bigger (please)

This is his world, from his only chair.

Dream bigger (please).

No one plans on life like this.

Thank goodness there are clean, safe, and friendly facilities to assist in an otherwise overwhelming situation.

Tried and true may be the devil’s work

It’s so ridiculously easy to find tried and true reasons to remain comfortable indoors, especially when it’s wintery cold outside.

Reflecting on the observation that no one in this facility seems to have a passion for physical exercise.

Will this be me in 20 years, as a 76 year old?

Please don’t bore us with what you are going to do differently

Lonesome country road in the fog
The loneliness of the daily commitment to lifetime wellness.

Please don’t bore us with what you are going to do differently this year.

Instead, surprise, delight, and inspire with what you’ve already done.

Hope is a great strategy, but it is a poor tactic.
