In doing less can we do more?

Orlando's Top Wellness Speakers

The stopwatch screen shots can be boring to the casual observer, and yet they paint the picture of a person who only preaches what is practiced. There is a notion that in doing less we can actually do more.

It is up to us to define our ‘more’.

Take charge. Make your rules. Set your goals. Be on fire. Be that kind of person.

All day. Everyday.

They cannot hide how they feel

Orlando Wellness

(photo: Food is either viewed as fuel, or as comfort.)

They cannot hide how they feel. Thrivers radiate something. So do survivors.

Thrivers were once survivors. And thrivers are also at risk daily of being defeated and going back to the way of the herd.

Applying Disney creativity and innovation to running since 1999

Orlando's Best Keynote Speaker

(photo: Yesterday morning’s run near Disney World netted the fastest mile split in the past year – dealing with injuries, travel, etc)

Applying Disney creativity and innovation to running since 1999. What does that mean?

It means the more years you run, the more temptations you face to quit because of boredom, injuries, time, excuses, etc.

Disney’s creativity and innovation principles are world famous, but not for the reasons outsiders believe.

Walt became famous for creativity because he was constantly battling stiff competition, harsh economic conditions, and a distracted public that had better things to do with their discretionary income.

Disney’s goal is to not only survive as a business, but to thrive. And in fact, to become the most admired Company in the world.

The admirable goal at Mid Life Celebration is to become an example and not a warning.

No one teaches us to fight back and refuse to do it that way

Brand new car odometer

(photo: Bought the van with one mile on it. The second mile came from the trip to the gas station to fill the tank.)

No one teaches us to fight back and refuse to do it that way. So easy to blend in and ignore the logical guilt for not exercising, not eating well, and not getting adequate rest. No one else does. Right?

The photo represents the obscene lack of ‘mileage’ most adults put into their health and wellness bank.

Try to hate running?

Middle school classroom cat

(photo: How did one stray cat become so lucky to have a middle school classroom to call home?)

Baby Boomers must manage their own luck.

Hope you get to the point where you hate running. Because when you do, you’ll know you love it.

If this sounds confusing it’s because it sort of is. Until you understand that it’s not.

What starts out as a groove, say running, eventually becomes a rut. No one likes ruts. And you have to love something in order to climb out of the rut and thrive again.

Like all worthwhile things in life, lifetime motivation to not quit (running in this example) is key.
