Wellness:  • dream big  • get there  • stay there

Quest diagnostics form
Yesterday i realized it’s been 11 days without any word from Quest. To me, getting bloodwork results is like Christmas morning.

Missed Wednesday’s and Friday’s cardio workout last week due to business travel.

Was able to get a gym workout in on Friday morning in Texas, so that felt good.

And yesterday’s 40k roundtrip bike ride to the gym was extra special.

Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Wellness:  • dream big  • get there  • stay there

It’s your responsibility.

i ain’t tellin’ ya something you don’t already know.

When you think of your wellbeing

Well being
A sign that is a good “sign”.

When you think of your well-being, do you feel like it’s a priority, a thing you hope to make a priority someday, or something you’ll never be able to accomplish?

Here are the choices presented differently.

  1. My wellness is a priority
  2. I hope to make my wellness a priority someday
  3. Being well is something I’ll never be able to accomplish

You know how people can tell if you’re committed to wellness?

Disney Springs
Disney Springs yesterday.

Disney movies
We watched A Wrinkle In Time yesterday at Disney’s AMC Theater complex at Disney Springs.

Let your wellness light shine brightly.

You are a beacon for others.

You are so deserving of the vibrancy you feel.

You find solace in your commitment to over-focus on your wellness compared to the way you used to under-focus on it, or ignore it completely.

You know how people can tell if you’re committed to wellness?

The same way people can tell if a business is committed to their wellness.

Metrics.

Basic business measurements.

In this case, it’s health metrics instead of business metrics.

The basics..

Resting heart rate.

Cholesterol.

Triglycerides.

Blood pressure.

Touch your toes.

How many pull ups, push ups, and sit ups can you do?

Walk 4-5 flights of stairs – how soon does your heart rate return to normal.

Do you lose your patience easily?

What are the main beverages you consume daily?

Do you use a snooze button to wake up?

How many calories do you get daily from processed foods?

How many grams of sugar do you consume daily?

How much water do you consume daily?

When was the last time you exercised consistently for five continuous years?

The list goes on and on.

You get the picture.

i never mentioned weight.

Why would i?

It doesn’t matter what a person weighs..

What matters are answers to the questions here.

Wellness is a virus

USATF official gear
Arrived a few days ago. Running shorts. Official USATF – United States of America Track & Field – gear. Weirdly, i wear running shorts when i bike.

Wellness is a virus.

The word virus is associated with a negative, bad situation.

Computer virus.

She has a virus and has been admitted into the hospital.

We think detrimental and or dangerous when we think virus.

But what if the “unstoppable” and “results” of a virus were used in a positive way?

She has a wellness virus – she just keeps getting healthier.

Changes the way we think doesn’t it?

Is our thinking enough to change our habits?

Simple is a gift, but you must unwrap it to see

health wisdom
Simple doesn’t mean easy. Photo: Two days ago at Disney’s Cast Member Center For Living Well.

Simple doesn’t mean easy, but simple unequivocably means simple.

Use that to your advantage.

Or not.
