Mid Life Celebration & jungle jeff?

Mid Life Celebration and jungle jeff?   Now what?

Hey, I’m getting a bit tired of waiting for 100%.  You’re probably tired of hearing about it.  Me too.

So?

So I’ve added a little bit ‘o spice to today’s post.

On the surface, it has nothing to do with running, wellness, fitness, health, etc.

Look past the surface, and it has everything to do with running and wellness.

Two PAGES, each with brief explanations have been added to the right column.

PS.  I busted my hump today – hill work and core.   You know how to be world-class?   Bust your hump.  Carpe diem, jeff noel  🙂

Hump Day?

In America, many people call Wednesday, “hump day”, for the middle of the work week, and once Wednesday is over, we’ve cleared the hump and are closer to the weekend.

I took “hump day” off from working out.  Worked too long and hard today and didn’t have enough sleep to fully recover from yesterday’s run and gym workout.  As a public speaker, I stand most of my day, which adds additional stress to my plantar fasciitis and heel spur.

I’m treating rest as an integral component to success this year.  As a Master’s athlete, I’ve learned the hard way that rest is a critical success factor.  A tired body is more prone to injury.  My mantra, “Stay Healthy, Have Fun“!

Run, walk, swim, peddle, row, roll or whatever.  Just do something to stay moving, because if you don’t, who will.  If not now, when?  The clock is ticking.  Carpe diem, jeff noel

World Class Rest?

No run, or gym workout today.  Rest!   It’s nearly 8:00PM, and I’m about to stretch for 20 minutes.

It almost feels like tomorrow is the first day of the new school year.  Remember when you were an adolescent?   New clothes.  New grade.  New friends.  New dreams.

Tomorrow.  New foot?  Hope so.  Carpe PM, jeff noel

96 Percent ain’t good enough

What are you satisfied with? A 96% would be an “A” on most tests.  Not satisfied with an “A”.  The overachiever in me wants an “A+”.

Early this morning, I got an “A”, with a “96”.  I’ll take it and feel very good about it.  And feel very, very thankful, too.

Felt great.  Opened it up a bit on the second and fourth mile.  Heel held up nicely.

This leaves me cautiously optimistic.  So, I’ll celebrate with two full days of rest.  I’m due for this any way.

Have a GREAT weekend.  My favorite day of the whole year is tomorrow – Easter Sunday.

Carpe diem!  Chase your goals and never, ever, give up.  jeff  🙂
