Two short runs in 13 days is nothing to brag about

(photo: yesterday’s run through University of Iowa campus. Mostly the colors are just beginning, except here.)

How does one overcome the inevitable and consistent setbacks?

While in Iowa there was one short run in four days which is better than zero.

Too much to do this morning (now back home at Walt Disney World) to have time to run. So now it’s one short run in five days.

And in two days a six-day business trip to a cold climate.

Could end up being only two runs in 13 days.

Note to self: figure it out.

The single biggest adversary for not having physical vibrancy?

What is the overarching key motivator for you to not only get healthy, but to stay healthy for a lifetime?

A quick, ready answer is what we are looking for, not a specific answer, simply one that rolls off the tip of our tongue and sounds completely believable and inspiring.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the single biggest adversary – stuttering with our answer.

MLC’s answer you ask?

To be an example, not a warning.

New floors create friction to everyday life (as does a hernia)

Love how challenging life is and how very few of our friends and acquaintances know the obstacles we are facing.

But guaranteed. We all have them. Plenty of them.

Often, more than we feel can handle.

Note to self, do not (ever, ever) feel these are reasons to quit exercising.
