Either we did or we didn’t and this repeats itself until we die

Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada airport
Alberta Canada in early March

Something cool happens and it creates a small flood of ideas.

Was invited to run after class yesterday.

A resident of Lethbidge, he said he’d show the coolest things near the hotel.

He extended another invite to run tonight with his runner’s club.

Runner’s club.

Hmmm…

We either exercised yesterday or we didn’t.

This is a moving target and we know it

Jack the bear in Saskatoon airport
Without running, all this traveler sees is the airport and the hotel

One of the biggest contributors to our ability to handle the things that cause us stress, like tragedy, is our focus on our physical health.

This is a moving target and we know it.

Even though it’s difficult to accomplish it is not a reason to give up and accept less.

Knowing the weather in Saskatoon would be well below freezing the entire stay, the strategy switched from exercise to sleep.

Happy to report three consecutive nights with nearly eight hours sleep.

Be as prepared as possible

Typical travel day is easily 12+ hours per day

Banking on yesterday’s slow five-mile run and a gym workout to pay dividends for the next four days of physical inactivity in Calgary.

Two long days of all day travel and two long days of classroom instruction.

This is how it goes.

Be as prepared as possible.
