The triviality of one ordinary day

Rio Men's 400 meter final
London’s Gold and Silver medalists are getting smoked.

Rio Men's 400 meter final
Never saw this coming.

Rio Men's 100 meter final
Witnessed history last night.

We woke up at 4:30am and 4:50am respectively. Cross Country practice from 6:00-7:30am this morning.

Up late last night (10pm) watching Usain Bolt make history in the 100 meter final.

And just before the 100 meter final was the men’s 400 meter final.

New world record in 43.03, smashing Michael Johnson’s 17-year old 43.18 record.

Never saw the world record coming. Blindsided.

In the smallness of daily life, astonishing is always happening.

Be astonished.

Everyday.

All day.

You know what would be great this morning?

Magic Kingdom haircut
Haircut at Magic Kingdom. Round trip bike ride there would only be nine miles.

You know what would be great this morning?

A 25-mile round-trip bicycle ride to Golds Gym, including an 80-minute layover workout at the gym.

Giving my calves, especially the right one, a break.

A brief, but surreal moment

A brief, but surreal moment…

Sure, the sunrise was spectacular.

But the office window – looking in from the outside – stopped me in my tracks for a moment.

And i thought to myself, “This is were it all began. And this is where it continues to thrive.”

From the road the window seems ridiculously insignificant.

But it didn’t seem so in that moment on the roof.

So amazing, you inspire yourself?

Who’s to blame for inspiration?

The thing about pursuing vibrant health and wellness is that the light that shines from the effort is impossible to cover up.

It is never done to shine a light, but the light shines brightly nonetheless.

Be amazing today.

So amazing, you inspire yourself.
