Depends what your goal is. It also depends on your brand. Depends on the situation. This post is about exercising while traveling Internationally to cold climates.

An hour-long five-miler, 46 degrees, 7am, windchill at places. Will take 12-minute miles over no run. Will take five miles (normally nothing less than eight) over none.

Today is yesterday’s “tomorrow”

Today is yesterday’s “tomorrow”. Note to self: “Stop making promises that you do not intend to keep.” (tweet that)

(time and priority management)

traffic in the darkness
Reusing yesterday’s photo. Why? Because it’s a metaphor for routine, mundane, repetitive days.

The last 48 hours have been extra busy, and…

It has cut into exercise and sleep.

And it’s been a perfect reminder why carving out decent wellness habits prevent unexpected (which are to be expected) events from derailing our long-term health.

Great wellness habits have one major, strategic goal: to buffer us from having our health spin out of control.

Life’s setbacks either become manageable events each time they happen, or they become another in a long list of excuses reasons why we can never get an exercise, eating, and sleeping routine to stick.

Boredom, excuses, fatigue, procrastination, time

self doubt
From Facebook yesterday. It took my breath away for a moment.

Eight-milers and gym visits on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays can get old.

Boredom, excuses, fatigue, procrastination, time  – yeah, they add up.

Over manage the things you used to under manage or ignore.

Be intentional about being fit for life.

PS. Be rebellious enough to fight for your wellness.
