The process of aging is interesting because it begs a few questions and observations:

What is aging?

Can it be slowed?

Can one physical setback be enough to quit?

At the end of the day, time waits for no one.

It is wise to expect setbacks as normal, and unavoidable.

Like mother nature and her occasional severe weather – this too shall pass.

Incumbent on us to be prepared, ride it out, recover quickly.

And enjoy the subsequently beautiful weather.

Love how challenging life is and how very few of our friends and acquaintances know the obstacles we are facing.

All of us have a pile of struggles (opportunities) (blessings) that are virtually invisible to others.

But guaranteed. We all have them. Plenty of them.

Often, more than we feel can handle.

Note to self, do not (ever, ever) feel these are reasons to quit exercising.

Through 14 years of speaking full time, I’ve spoken to a million people and believe it or not, a huge confidence booster to becoming a better speaker was that obscure experiment.

In looking for an unlikely, and random, place to test world class business philosophies, I picked running.

In ten short years – from not being able to run at all, to representing the USA at the 2009 Masters Track & Field World championships.
