Will you need a car in the future?

Wasn’t sweaty on the ride to school until i stopped. Took 20 minutes to finally cool down.

Will you need a car in the future?

Depends.

Depends where you live.

Depends what you need?

Depends where you work?

Depends on your tolerance to rely on systems and process that you can’t control.

The costs for public transportation and delivery services may be less, similar, or more than vehicle ownership, upkeep, storage (parking), and insurance.

No exercise even though i thought there would be

Marriott San Antonio
Final look out the San Antonio Marriott hotel room window last night.

No exercise even though i thought there would be.

The good news?

Rode a bicycle 29 miles on a non-exercise day.

Subliminally, i was planning for this phenomenon.

Well played, dude. Well played.

At 43-degrees when i took this, it was not a good time to be swimming, however, the hot tub looked inviting.

The Omni Hotel fitness center is way above average.

A missed opportunity this trip.

But i only discovered this as i was leaving for the airport.

Pack like you mean it

hotel room view
What a top floor view, huh?
Sung like “Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone”…Ain’t no glamour on the road.

With a preferred speaking style of running shoes, jeans, and a nice shirt, all i need to pack is the dress shirt. Everything else i wear, i wear as i travel.

Walked seven miles roundtrip from hotel to client’s office to speak all day.

Also packed gloves and a hat, knowing the forecast was below freezing.

15 x 12 x 10 ought to do it

UPS box
Sending my business clothes to the client so i can travel light.

Client wants me to adhere to their grooming guidelines at their special facility.

Being vibrantly healthy allowed me to resist the frustration i initially felt.

“If Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg were doing the keynote instead of me, would you tell them they couldn’t wear nice jeans and running shoes?”

i guessed a 15 x 12 x 10 would hold what i needed to send.

Perfect.

Shipped it yesterday.

Not only am i flying with only a small backpack, but the backpack is much smaller than the typical Swiss Gear small backpack.

Lightness brings a freedom and joy that extra weight never offers.
