Unexpected joy from early bedtime.

Being able to have a routine bedtime means you have a routine awakening.

Having this routine focuses you on a set total nightly hours of sleep.

This is incredibly boring.

This is insanely empowering.

You cannot stop joy when you are refreshed.

Sore feels good

Sore feels good.

Did full workout yesterday. This is only news because it’s been 11 days without a workout. Yesterday was day 12 since the previous gym visit.

Since recommitting to physical vibrancy in 1999, 10 days without a workout seems like the threshold for sore-free day afters.

While i’d rather not feel sore, perhaps it is a reminder that 11 days abstinence is too long.

Without exercise

First three days here, still no sun.

Without exercise we can still be 100% engaged with wellness.

There are still other areas of focus.

No exercise, no problem.

Focus on sleep. Bedtime. Total hours.

Focus on nutrition. Balanced. Fresh. Portion control. Snacking.

Focus on motivation. You know, the stuff that gives you the power to make the best decisions even when, especially when, you would rather cave to less desirable choices.

Your body is not whispering, stop for good

Colon cancer is almost always curable when caught early. Early and common generally don’t travel together.

Today at the gym, i decided to use the visit entirely for stretching.

Intentionally took a break from strength exercises.

Why?

My body was whispering in my ear that it would be helpful.

So i listened.

PS. Wrote this post after the four mile roundtrip walk to the gym. Also, there were a few decades in my life where i thought my body was whispering, “You don’t need to worry about being active. No one else does.”
