Amazing 12-day streak of eight-hour sleep nights interrupted. Arriving home after 10pm concluding an 18-hour travel day and turning around for 4am trip to airport for Cheryl.

Not Orlando airport, but Sanford airport – twice as far away.

Four-and-a-half hours sleep is staggeringly different.

Note: Ten of 12 days were in Canadian hotel rooms on two separate trips. A truly astonishing feat of discipline and planning.

Four for four and 55?

Four consecutive nights getting eight hours sleep. Months, maybe longer since that’s happened.

Why?

Busy.

What happens with the insidiously slow change in our sleep intake?

Some say we don’t need as much as we age.

Not if we are inactive. But what if our body needs the rest, then what?

Unplanned 55-minute run. About 10 minutes longer than normal.

Felt it at the end. Probably psychological?

Sitting in Philadelphia International airport waiting for a short flight to NYC and eating a slice of pizza for lunch.

Too busy to run this morning (and too tired and too cold).

Too busy to write – until now.

Looking around, it’s obvious by the closed eyes in the boarding area that this comes with the territory.

Figure it out.
