Even as i struggle to find time and motivation, and there are more days than i care to admit, the most wonderful blessing is that i continue to stay with it.

Dear Son, congratulations on competing your first 800-meter run last night.

Slow and steady works when we continue going slow and steady. As soon as we stop, slow and steady no longer works.

Some things in life are ridiculously obvious.

No one thought this would ever happen either. It happened Dec. 10 2015.

 

By the time this goes live most of us will have quit (again).

For that matter, many of us have stopped making New Year’s resolutions altogether because of our consistent failure to see things through.

Here’s to hoping i’m dead wrong.

If we quit we will never know

Yesterday, a Sunday.

 

If we quit we’ll never know.

Have given much thought to canceling the trip to France in two weeks.

The Father’s Day injury has literally cancelled the last 40 days of training. Even if i’ve recovered from the injury, the lost conditioning and strength edge i had is gone.

If i quit i’ll never know.

So i haven’t quit, in spite of the (unnecessary) impending embarrassment from weak performance.
