Tough question. It’s almost the end of the year. How can it not be done already?

Finally scheduled mine last week, but the real insight is from the blood work results.

Hoping to schedule the appointment today (for next Friday when returning from biz trip) at Quest Diagnostics.

Under rated, hard to achieve consistently, and critical?

The request for a good, morning run was declined. Tomorrow?

 

The health priority this morning was sleeping in until 6:30am, to get a full eight hours.

Adequate sleep as we all know is under rated, hard to achieve consistently, and critical for a well balanced life.

Some days it even takes a higher priority than running. But the compromise is a mid morning trip to Gold’s Gym, which puts Starbucks a mile away, on the way home.

Life is good today, no?

Exercise is usually the first thing to go, if we were even doing it in the first place.

The paradox is exercise is the one thing that offers natural antibodies to attack stress.

Run or study?

There are only a few massively iconic and admirably successful cultures

 

Go though the motions? Don’t worry too much about the quality because at worst it will be good.

Good and very good aren’t good enough in some cultures. But even then with no one watching it is so tempting to hit cruise control and just do a good job.

If good and very good aren’t good enough, you are either excellent or you are on auto pilot.

The run will have to wait until tomorrow.

Our energy is spread thin more often than not. It is what it is. Long ago our energy was used to hunt, gather, build, repair – basic survival before civilized society. We did not need to exercise long ago because simply surviving the day was more than enough exercise.

Now we have first world challenges. But without exercise first world predators no one talks about are always lurking. Busy schedules. Competing priorities. Exhaustion. Excuses. Apathy.
