There is no escaping discomfort

wearing a box on your head
A box on our head would be uncomfortable if we had to wear it daily.

There is no escaping discomfort.

Are we obligated to embrace discomfort?

Know what happens when we embrace discomfort?

We become the pilot of our ship.

The time passes, but we are the captain – the one in command.

We get to choose whether we are uncomfortable with the daily grind that’s required to live with (intentionally) better health choices.

Failing to make great health choices makes us a victim of poor choices.

Why the heck would anyone sign up for a lifetime of that?

Oh wait, i know.

Pleasure, weakness, distraction, procrastination, fear.

You will find your solution to staying active, if you are willing to look where you haven’t yet looked.

And if you’re not willing to look, think about what that says about you.

i took this to heart in 1999 and began to change.

I can’t exercise is far different from I won’t exercise.

Deep down, most of us can, but won’t.

It seems i stumbled upon the secret to lifetime commitment – get to a wellness level that’s worth defending at literally all costs.

If not, it may cost you your life.

Dream big. Get there. Stay there.

Tell me again why you have never developed a personal wellness plan.

You have a clear, concise, compelling reason for neglecting this common sense, lifetime strategy, right?

Sell me on it.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Excuses

#Excuses

Nothing is easier in life than coming up with great reasons why something didn’t work out or why something will never work out.
