Invest in yourself.

Once we become adults, no one else has time to invest in us.

Of course there are exceptions, but they are rare.

And when it comes to personal health, it is even more rare.

The quote above is a metaphor for our overall integrity.

Our personal care taking of our physical temple is 1/5 of the equation for personal integrity (the other four are mind, spirit, career, home).

The blessing of forgiveness and eternal life is incomprehensible.

It’s a feeling similar to the one we experience when we try to fathom everything our body is capable of doing and how sophisticated, yet fragile, it is.

However the privilege, and responsibility to maintain it is NOT incomprehensible.

We know this.

He wondered how much he would weigh if he didn’t exercise at all and ate the way some of his friends ate.

He also wondered if he didn’t focus on rest like some of his friends, how much that would add to his weight.

And of course, there was the vision of how carrying around an extra 30, 40, 50, 60, 70+ pounds would affect his every move, his every thought.
