Where do you see yourself?

Best Disney Institute Speakers
As a Disney Institute participant, i was asked to walk through Disney’s Hollywood Studios with my tablemates and photograph Magic.

i’m one of the slowest people in the world.

i’m one of the fastest people in the world.

Which one is true?

They’re both true.

How?

In the middle (think bell curve) of an age-based runner demographic of 55 to 59-year-olds, i’m one of the fastest.

But if we followed a traditional bell curve to the far right, and compared my speed to the outliers – the strongest and most fit 55 to 59 year-olds – i’m one of the slowest.

#Self-Reflection

Be careful where you set your bar. It may be too low.

A low bar has a direct and proportion affect on our motivation to achieve great things.

Our motivation influences our result.

You’re welcome.

Shoplifting at it’s worst impacts you

Grinnell Glacier Overlook Hike

Shoplifting, at it’s worst, impacts you.

Did you know you are probably guilty of shoplifting?

And i’m talking guilty every day.

Sounds criminal doesn’t it?

Every day you aren’t consistent with regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and adequate rest, you are stealing from yourself – and from your Family.

At what point do adults shun regular exercise?

Basketball score board
Day to day, do you keep score?

It dawned on me last night as we watched the High School basketball game – many of the parents were athletes when they were in high school.

Every athlete on the floor last night played with lightning-fast reflexes and boundless energy.

At what point do adults shun regular exercise?

Why?

And what would their world be like if they didn’t?

Even though it was Saturday

Incline bench for core
The steepest setting.

Even though it was Saturday, and i hadn’t seen my Family in four days, i invested an hour for exercise – on the way home from the airport.

Balance doesn’t come with a perfect formula.

Do what you have to do

Candy
Trashed it all.

Bought a bag of candy for Halloween yesterday. Ate one thing which led to another, and another, and even more.

Poured half the bag into a bowl for Trick-or-Treaters and threw away the other half.

We had zero visitors and at bedtime i poured the bowl into the trash.

Seem wasteful?

In my book, eating too much candy is wasteful.

Do what you have to do.

Why?

Because you have to live with your choices.
