Living in gratitude

Hyatt Regency
Simply an “i was here photo”. Bottom left: Thursday, October 6.

When and where confirmation – upper left…Hyatt Regency.

No workout yesterday. Up at 4:00 am (3rd day in a row). Cab at 5:30 am.

Self-imposed travel diversion to Tampa – planning on worst case scenario with air travel – to make it home safely BEFORE Hurricane Matthew arrives in Orlando.

Rental car from Tampa airport to Orlando airport to pick up my personal car.

Living in gratitude, even though the original itinerary completely unraveled.

50% is sometimes acceptable…

Indianapolis Interstate sign
During yesterday morning’s run in Kentucky.

Fitness app
Felt like going longer, but out of time.

Grateful to get 40 minutes to run. Didn’t make time for a gym workout. Hotel gyms are usually inadequate if you aren’t doing cardio (and i wasn’t). So, 50% is sometimes acceptable…

But when it comes to leadership, 100% is the only acceptable standard.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

What is the world’s most popular excuse?

Apple watch exercise app
All told, yesterday’s exercise lasted 65 minutes.

What is the world’s most popular excuse?

But i don’t have time.

Before we decide

Running app
Flying to Louisville in a couple hours. Last thing i have time for is an hour unrelated to the trip. From this morning…clock doesn’t include 10 more minutes of walking cool down.

Before we decide, we should quiet our mind so we can begin to truly hear.

If we can’t hear the truth about why we need to create our own personal wellness commitment, we will always have great (and easy) excuses for never addressing this.
