Spring break, body

beach
Spring break at a beach is a dream for many during or after a long winter.

My first college Spring Break was in 1979.

Four of us drove a small car from Philadelphia to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I-95 the whole way.

We stayed in a campground several miles from the beach. We pitched a large, stand-up-inside canvas tent. It smelled ridiculously musty.

We must have each packed a sleeping bag. No air mattresses, no luxuries of any sort.

Not even sure we had a cooler to keep our beer cold. And we probably didn’t need one. Beer never lasted long after purchased.

Bottomline, we enjoyed palm trees, sunshine, and beer.

The 24-hour drive back to college stunk.

Be prepared, body

Being prepared is challenging.

Why?

Life.

Today’s posts are themed, as typical: mind, body, spirit, work, and home.

Be prepared to harvest, daily, and for a lifetime, the movement, rest, and fuel you sow.

The closer to death, body

berries, nuts, avocado, cheese
Much of our focus and discipline is invisible to others. But it is never invisible to yourself.

The closer to you get to death, the less you care what others think about the way you stayed, or didn’t stay, healthy.

Why?

Because you’ll be dead soon and nothing will matter.

Die with everything, body

Die With Zero is a book i heard about yesterday.

In summary it promotes lifestyle wealth, not financial-accumulation wealth.

Physically, i relentlessly pursue ‘everything’.

Physically dying with everything, to me, is to die with everything physical vibrancy offers: strength, endurance, flexibility, core, nutrition, rest, and motivation.

Die with zero, body

Die With Zero is a book i heard about this morning.

In summary it is the paradox of confusing wealth accumulation for happiness. Instead, use your money for experiences and helping, while you are still alive.

To physically die with zero, to me, is to die with zero unhealthy habits.
