disney keynote speaker Jeff noel
What’s the supreme goal, the bullseye, with your health?

Imagine your health writing you a thank you note. What specifics are mentioned?

Be your Messiah

Lane 8 is generally reserved for the slowest runner.

Be your Messiah.

What?

Be your own Savior.

In my 60’s, especially with the two-plus years away from the gym, it’s easier to see the negative effects from not having a gym’s wide-ranging equipment, variety, and vibe.

Did you say rest?

car battery
Could have removed the battery, driven to WalMart, exchanged the dead battery for the replacement, driven home, and reinstalled the new battery. Or, go to the AAA app, from home, place the order, pay a higher price, but rest through the entire process.

Did you say rest?

Yep.

Sleep.

Rest days.

Plus light, medium, and heavy workouts.

You can be working out yet backing off, intentionally – this is a rest variation.

Rest like you mean it.

Fastest

Crater Lake?

Would you rather be the slowest of the fastest or the fastest of the slowest?

Note: Personally, hands down, slowest of the fastest.

At the speed of rocket sound

rocket launch smoke trail at sunrise
During a sunrise walk and jog, heard a ‘rocket’ rumble at 7:05AM. Liftoff was 6:59AM.
Weirdly, for posterity, captured when i heard the rocket, knowing later could Google when the rocket launched. Six minutes for sound to travel from Cape Canaveral to Walt Disney World.

Usually walk three miles and complete one to three sets of exercises before starting a three to four mile jog. Usually finish with a half-mile to 1.5 mile walk cool down.

Seven or eight-ish miles, 3x week.

Tuesdays and Thursdays a 10-20+ mile bike ride.

Why share that?

Because that’s what was happening when i heard the rocket launch six minutes after the fact.
