Vitamins as medicine

One of your excellent accomplishments can be to have as few prescriptions as possible. i have two vitamins, and monthly allergy shots prescribed. That’s it.

If you have an incurable disease, you will likely have prescribed meds.

Here are Dr jeff’s self-prescribed “not-over-the-counter” prescriptions:

  1. Mind
  2. Body
  3. Spirit
  4. Work
  5. Home

More specifically…

  1. Read, watch, listen, and create nothing but positive, growth mindset material
  2. Do rigorous cardio and strength exercises, rest and fuel well
  3. Use gratitude, forgiveness, surrender, and compassion for peace and contentment
  4. Live within your means and do work where you get-to-do more than you have-to-do
  5. Prioritize your priorities and let your life be your message

In acceptable levels, yet we are working to increase the level…before it has a chance to dip below acceptable.

Which do you pick as the number one priority?

PS. Part of nutrition is annual blood work to see what can’t be visibly seen.

Got these yesterday at grocery store. It will be a few weeks before the current bottles empty. Plan ahead.

 

 

The time to “worry” about things is before you have to.

Your health.

Doing things now that won’t pay off for 10, 20, 30, 40, or even 50 years from now is not at the top of anyone’s to-do list today.

What if it was?

It will take weeks for the current vitamin bottles to empty.

Got the replacement bottles yesterday.

Didn’t need to.

And therein lies a great habit.

Surprised to learn vitamin D was low

Love the mundane beauty of a simple, ordinary receipt and moment in time (yesterday). Purchased a bottle of Vitamin B12 and one of vitamin D3.

 

Rode bike to Dr. Patel’s office to review bloodwork and CT scan results.

Overall, great results.

Vitamin D and B12 are low.

Dr. Patel recommended D3 2000 IU and B12 1000mg.

Vitamins, minerals, supplements, fiber, protein, carbohydrates, fats, and the list goes on and on. No wonder we struggle to sort through to the basic, common sense health strategy that will work for us.

We can worry about this some other time, say when the phone rings, “Hello, this is your wake-up call. You’ve neglected your health all your life and now you have to pay the price. Have a nice day”.
