Time for a pre-work workout before Disney

Two nights ago, after returning from High School Senior banquet. Missing two hours seems inconsequential. Knowing your sleep hours standard ensures your aim is almost always close.

There’s time this morning for a pre-work (Disney Podcasting day) workout before Disney.

Two hours: one hour for the four-mile round-trip walk to gym and one hour at gym.

How cool is that?

Super cool.

A lifetime of getting to a place, at 60 years old, were i call the shots, take the risks, and enjoy the fruits from a life at Disney.

Son, learn as much as you can from what i say (the teaching and explaining behind the why) and especially what i do.

First time in Dubai.

This place is amazing.

And the people are wonderful.

Reminds me of home.

Casually brainstorming more intentional rest

Inspired by Rob’s personal practice to observe the Sabbath, a day of rest, so consistently, that i’m casually brainstorming how to do it.

The approach is familiar: decide what you want to do differently, why you want it to be different, and how you can plan and attack the changes required to begin, maintain and improve.

Today is Sunday, “a day of rest”.

It’s probable that i’ll spend today like every Sunday, which generally includes some work on my business.

What would it take to not do that anymore?

Shoulda slept in

At best, waking up at 5am, 6.65 hours sleep. So the actual, 6.35 hours, is what it is.

Shoulda slept in.

Awoke at 4:40am with an idea swimming around in my head.

If i fell back to sleep for 20 more minutes until the 5:00am wakeup, almost guaranteed to lose the idea.

While 20 minutes seems insignificant, i was already logging less than seven hours.

Lots going on this week.

Big Disney Customer Service Keynote tomorrow at the local Ritz Carlton.

And mid-week a planning session with a Big Four Professional Services firm.

Oh, and then there’s this genius idea that woke me up.
