If someone asked us these questions, would we be happy with our answers? Do we exercise regularly? How long has it been like that?

You know, I don’t ask these types of questions to stimulate our guilt, but rather to stimulate our conviction.

The photo was taken moments before driving to the airport. After a decade of slow and steady exercise, I astonishingly represented the USA at the Masters Track & Field World Championships in Finland.

And now in 2013, 14 years after reCommitting to health, I’m still running.

One hundred days since we promised ourselves 2013 is gonna be different… where are we today? Something about the end of the year, another year that got away from us. Too busy to focus on our health the way we wanted to.

Many of us recommitted with a white hot resolve that 2013 is OUR year!

Skimming Facebook, weirdly saddened by the photos. America is the only country in the world where people are searching for inner peace.

In third-world countries, people are searching for food.

When Americans let their health go it’s, well, sad.

There’s a hunger, a desperation, in the photos on my page that is hard to tell apart from starving children.

Yeah, that’s nebulous, but after some deep, reflective thought, the concept starts to appear.

You see, the only difference is the end goal, the desperation is the same. No?
