More or less, pick one

Orlando based wellness speakers

(photo: To keep exercising we need to remain motivated, which means we need to find a million ways… took a left yesterday for the first time and found a glorious golf cart path.)

The more you know the less you need.

For example.

Health is wealth.

Not a leather couch nor an amazingly cool HD TV.

They cannot hide how they feel

Orlando Wellness

(photo: Food is either viewed as fuel, or as comfort.)

They cannot hide how they feel. Thrivers radiate something. So do survivors.

Thrivers were once survivors. And thrivers are also at risk daily of being defeated and going back to the way of the herd.

Conformity. Complicity.

Just work through it he said to himself

Triage form

(photo: Yesterday at 3:12pm the recommendation was to not wait until the next day to be seen by a Doctor.)

No Doctor was available on short notice late on Friday afternoon.

Sure, the tingling began shortly after the first cup of coffee yesterday. So there was no panic. Just work through it like previous days. Wrote five posts like normal. Ran five miles, like normal.

The left arm tingling didn’t go away – like it normally did – during the past week.

Besides, there’s lots to do with only eight days until retirement from Disney.

By late afternoon, the first triage was complete at Disney’s Center for Living Well.

Health is wealth – scary when we feel like there’s been a break in and it’s been stolen.

Many workplaces place safety above all other company values?

Mark Twin quote about honesty

(photo: random Facebook update screenshot… no one at work tells lies about safety, right?)

How many workplaces place safety above all other company values?

All of them, right?

Except…

The most insidious exception is personal safety with our health.

Most of us are seriously unhealthy.

Last time we thought about it, what stops us from getting healthier if we truly understand that poor health habits are unsafe?

Classic, “If no one is looking”, or “If everyone else is doing it”, we won’t get in trouble.

Will they admit it?

Quote about determination and focus

(photo: The same can be said in reverse…persistent neglect and apathy will mean a consistent decline)

Will a person admit to themselves that their life, and their weight, are slowly and steadily spinning out of control?

Could they wake up one morning and realize that the food choices they’ve been making, the disrupted sleep habits they’ve been subjected to (maybe self-imposed), and the lack of exercise have contributed to creating a serious health issue?

Not to mention a person who doesn’t even look like the person they used to be.

As if a bomb went off and destroyed their temple.
