At lunch yesterday, the friend said he’s gained 60 pounds.

His life is hard.

(Shhh, don’t want anyone to feel bad, but everyone’s life is hard.)

Try to imagine being asked to permanently carry a 60-pound back pack. Twenty-four seven.

Until we want something as desperately as our next breath, it ain’t gonna happen. Not the impossible stuff anyway.

Figure it out.

This isn’t a cruel statement, it’s truth.

We are the CEO of our life.

Who inspires you?

Wouldn’t it be great if it was an inside job?

Everyday. All day.

Experimenting with running three times a week instead of the traditional goal of five times.

Fewer runs, right? So let’s make them longer runs, say, an hour minimum.

Since retiring six weeks ago it’s been steady.

And now, what used to be the longest run, five miles, was the shortest run (yesterday) in the past six weeks, 50 minutes.
