Strength

Muscles move our body and administer all the physical functions we use to live.

Strength compliments stamina (cardio).

Strength…

We lift. We push. We pull.

Our heart beats. Our lungs inhale and exhale. Our bladder and bowels hold and eliminate.

Our physical capabilities are directly proportional to our strength.

Note: These physical capabilities become proportionately more important as you age. However, most of us won’t over-focus on our strength in our youth and middle age. Older age reveals a poignant truth and reality.

Move like you mean it.

Humans are not rocks nor trees.

Humans are made to move.

This is easy to forget in a civilized, heavily-automated world.

Please don’t forget.

Short jaunt to the hospital

Let’s just call it nine miles.

December 15, 2025.

RIP Walt Disney (Dec 15, 1966: 65 years old).

i’m older than Walt was when he died.

Walked four miles roundtrip to my annual eye exam this morning.

Then walked five more, also roundtrip to the eye doctor’s office to drop off a pair of frames (for new lenses).

Not only is the mileage remarkable, so is the discretionary time to do it.

Zero expectations, body

Expectations gap and unhappiness
Expectations gap and challenges.

Examining and reflecting on myself, i ask…

What physical expectations are needed?

What physical expectations are nice to have?

What physical expectations are unnecessary?

What physical expectations are harmful?

Thoughts control habits.

Habits control results.

Therefore thoughts control my physical results.

And what happens to my habits and results if i reduce or eliminate unnecessary and harmful physical expectations?
