Is there luxury in less?

trick question
We follow the herd and look for the error in the wrong place (numbers). It’s in the words. Look for health solutions in the less obvious – opposite from the herd mentality.

Is there luxury in less?

Can you imagine having a refrigerator and pantry shelves with less variety?

And not only less variety but less volume.

Why?

Think about it.

And remember that more fresh and less processed is part of our mantra.

How does this proposition feel?

Go.

Do you have a Urologist?

mistakes quote
From an email yesterday. Mistakes are a wonderful teacher.

As we age, we have an incredible opportunity to be proactive.

And yet this opportunity is rarely taken.

Mistake?

Yes.

But it’s not the end of the opportunity.

Better late than never.

Go.

Do you have a Urologist?

Saw mine yesterday at 8am.

We meet every six months.

Proactive.

Precautionary.

Best patient?

That’s what Dr. Kata said as i left yesterday.

He was repeating what his nurse told him.

Karma helps our physical well being.

It’s good to be reminded of that occasionally.

Apparently, while my vitals were being checked, our conversation made an impression.

A positive blind-spot and a wonderful way to start 2018.

Later in the (frigid cold, blustery) day, rode a bicycle 14 miles roundtrip to get new eye-glasses adjusted. The ride was welcomed since rain cancelled out the normal 25-mile roundtrip ride to the gym.

The choice to never turn back.

The i’s have it

Anemia and IBD
Watched this webinar yesterday. Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Anemia. Daily focus on health is a great habit.

The i‘s eyes have it.

Arcus senilis is part of aging for some of us.

A month ago while in Pennsylvania, i was reminded of a light coloration on the outside of the iris (in both eyes).

Turns out it’s normal, and heavily influenced by high cholesterol.

It isn’t supposed to affect vision – that’s the good news.

Last Spring, for the first time in a decade my cholesterol was under 200.

Have been focusing on, and continue to focus on, “superfoods”, especially seasonally fresh fruits.

Note: Lowered cholesterol doesn’t reverse the lightening of the iris.

i hate sugar

Whispering Canyon desserts
Cobbler tastes great and is part of the Holiday season.

i hate sugar.

Why?

Because it has such alluring properties.

It never tastes bad.

In fact, it generally tastes amazing.

So yeah, i hate that.

Especially when there isn’t a fresh fruit antidote nearby.
